-Breaking News: Catherine has signed on to lend her voice to a character in the highly-anticipated adaptation of Where The Wild Things Are. Other actors involved in the project include Benicio del Toro, Catherine Keener, and Michelle Williams.
- Over the Hedge is set for a wide release in North America on May 19, 2006. Catherine is voicing a porcupine named Penny; while her frequent comedic partner in crime Eugene Levy will play opposite her as another porcupine. According to Dark Horizons, the "priceless pairing of Catherine O'Hara and Eugene Levy" is just one of the film's many great attributes. They are in very good company here, with Steve Carell, Bruce Willis, Alison Janney, and Avril Lavigne heading up the star power. The film's Official Site has several featurettes under the 'video' link at the top. The video pod "Talent Overview" shows a brief clip of Catherine and Eugene Levy recording their roles in studio (screencap at top of page).
-Game 6, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2005, is now available for order on DVD! This is a comedy/drama about a down-on-his-luck playwright (Michael Keaton), who hopes his fortunes will change as the Red Socks vie for the World Series in 1986. There is now an official website that features a brand new picture of Catherine in character as Lillian Rogan. You can also watch the trailer, where we get a good look at Catherine's character. Her role was recently described in the press as "a fiercely funny cameo".
- The first-ever promotional still from For Your Consideration (seen below) was published in the January 27, 2006 issue of Entertainment Weekly. The film's tentative release date is September 22, 2006, although some sources are now reporting November 2006. According to early reports, Catherine appears to have one of the biggest roles in the film! She will be playing an actress who hears rumours that she will be nominated for an Oscar for her performance in a horrible melodrama called "Home For Purim." While For Your Consideration will not be a documentary-style film in the vein of other Christopher Guest films such as Best in Show or A Mighty Wind, the film will be largely improvised.

-There has been no recent news on The Great Farrell, a film based on the novel "Buried Alive" by Arnold Bennett. This may be a result of not having found a distributor yet. While details of Catherine's role aren't yet known, the plot involves a shy painter (Bruno Ganz) who assumes the identity of his valet (Rupert Everett) and retreats to the English countryside in pursuit of a simpler life. As he continues to paint, his life gets extra-complicated when he's accused of forging his own works. Filming on this project took place in London last summer.
-Monster House is an animation/live action film set for release in July 2006. Catherine will be playing the mother of the main character, DJ.
